A facial scar is very different than a scar elsewhere on the body. 

When treating facial scars, managing your expectations is critical.  Some people think there is a “quick fix” to erase a scar, but unfortunately, that is typically not realistic. Dr Toriumi spends considerable time prior to scar revision procedures talking with patients about reasonable goals and expectations.  Often it is possible to narrow the scar hiding it in skin lines, and/or use other techniques to make it less noticeable and more natural-looking.

Additionally, Dr. Toriumi uses state-of-the-art nanofat injections into scars to help with healing and improve the outcome. The result – whether it be through surgery, dermabrasion, laser resurfacing, application of gels, nanofat injection or a combination of these treatments – may be life-changing.
